What is Phishing?
Phishing and online security
Phishing is the attempt to obtain confidential information from you by way of a fraudulent email (often asking you to log in to a secure website and enter your password and other confidential information for 'verification' purposes, or to test a new 'security upgrade').
TD Canada Trust will never ask you to provide personal and/or banking information via email.
If you receive an email claiming to be from TD Canada Trust asking for personal and/or banking information, do not respond or click on any links in the email. Simply forward the email to phishing@td.com then delete the email.
If you have clicked on the link in the email, provided the information requested, or think your account has been compromised, please call EasyLine at 1-866-222-3456 immediately.
