When are stop payments processed?
Stop Payment Processing Times
Stop payment requests made via EasyWeb between 5:01 am and 11:59 pm ET, Monday to Friday, will be processed immediately. The applicable stop payment fee will be debited from your account immediately. Stop payments are not available between 12:00 am and 5:00 am ET, Monday to Friday. Stop payment requests made on a non-business day will not be processed until the next business day.
If you would like to make a stop payment between 12:00am and 5:00 am ET, contact EasyLine at 1-866-222-3456. You will need to have your Access Card and EasyLine Phone Code available at the time of your call.
Notwithstanding the stop payment request, the payment will be debited to your account and should be returned into the account within 2 business days. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in the account to cover any transactions completed during this time period, or normal NSF fees will apply.
