What is U.S. Bill Pay?
The U.S. Bill Pay service at TD provides personal banking customers a convenient way to pay U.S. bills from their eligible TD Canada Trust Canadian dollar or U.S. dollar personal chequing or savings accounts.
The service is available through EasyWeb and our TD app (on AndroidTM, iPhone and iPad devices only) to TD Canada Trust customers 18 years and older who have an eligible personal chequing or savings account and a home address in Canada or the United States.
There is no charge to register for the U.S. Bill Pay service. A fee of $2.50 (charged in the currency of the account) applies for each U.S. Bill Pay payment you make, in addition to any regular account transaction fees. Foreign exchange conversion rates may also apply.
How it works
When you make a payment using U.S. Bill Pay, the funds are withdrawn from your account immediately. If paying from your Canadian dollar account, a foreign exchange rate will apply. A U.S. dollar cheque will be sent by mail to the payee and delivered usually within 5 U.S. business days. Additional time may be required for the delivery of the cheque and for the payee to apply the payment to your account. When making your payment please allow enough time for delivery and processing.
Quick registration - EasyWeb or Smartphone
U.S. Bill Pay features a fast and easy one-time registration process via EasyWeb or using the TD app for Smartphone (Android and iPhone), where you can then add your U.S. payees and start paying your U.S. bills.
Adding U.S. Payees - EasyWeb or Smartphone
When adding a U.S. payee to your list of U.S. Bill Pay payees, you may choose from our directory of thousands of popular U.S. national, regional, and local companies, businesses, and organizations.
You may make payments up to a maximum of $5,000 per transaction (in the currency of the account from which the payment is made), to a maximum total of $6,000 per 24-hour period. 7-day and 30-day limits also apply.
