How can I identify whether the text message is really a TD Fraud Alerts text message?
You can identify a TD Fraud Alerts text message because TD will never ask you to provide personal information via text in your reply to a Fraud Alert. If you receive a TD Fraud Alerts text message, all we will ask is for you to reply "Y" for "Yes" or "N" for "No" to our text message.
TD Fraud Alerts text messages will contain specific information to help you identify the transaction, including:
- Last two digits of your TD Access Card or your personal or business TD Credit Card or of your Authorized User's Card; and
- Transaction information, including the $ amount, transaction type and merchant name
