Processing of Special Requests

TD Canada Trust will process the following transactions manually:

Pre-authorized Transfer Service Setup

Your request to set up a Pre-authorized Transfer Service will be verified and processed within 24 business hours. If you have provided an email address for this transaction, you will receive a non-confidential email from customer.service@td.com to advise you of the status of your request. Please ensure that you have the correct e-mail on file with the bank.

Funds will be withdrawn and deposited ‘From’ and ‘To’ your account on the date you requested. If the date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday the funds will be deposited on the next business day.
If you do not have sufficient funds in the ‘From’ account on the date the transfer is to take place, your transaction will not be processed. As a result, subsequent transactions will not be processed. You will need to complete the Pre-authorized Transfer Service setup again if you would like to continue this service.
Please note that Pre-authorized Transfer Service transactions are processed using the Personal Transfer Service and are subject to applicable service charges

Change Account Type

Your Change Account Type request will be verified and processed within 2 business days. If you have provided an email address for this transaction, you will receive a non-confidential email from customer.service@td.com to advise you of the status of your request. Please ensure that you have the correct email on file with the bank.

Loan Requests

If approved, your loan request will be processed within two business days. If declined, we will notify you through the provided contact information. If you have provided an email address for this transaction, you will receive a non-confidential email from customer.service@td.com to advise you of the status of your request. Please ensure that you have the correct e-mail on file with the bank.

Please note: Lump sum payments to your loan will only be debited from TD Canada Trust account linked to your Loan account.

Mortgage Requests

If approved, your mortgage request will be processed within two business days. If declined, we will notify you through the provided contact information. If you have provided an e-mail address for this transaction, you will receive a non-confidential e-mail from customer.service@td.com to advise you of the status of your request. Please ensure that you have provided the correct e-mail address.

Please note:

  1. Lump sum payments to your mortgage will only be debited from a TD Canada Trust account. 
  2. Requests for lump sum payments on the same date as your regular payment will be processed on the next  business day.
  3. If you provided instructions to renew your mortgage within the last 48 hours, TD will not be able to honor your request to change your payment frequency or to make a lump-sum payment. You may resubmit your request online after the effective date of your renewal.

U.S. Dollar Visa Transfers

Your request to transfer to your U.S. Dollar VISA card has been submitted.This transaction is subject to verification and may take up to 24 business hours to be processed. If the From account is in Canadian dollar funds, the current foreign exchange rate may fluctuate from the time your request is made to the time that your transaction is processed. Check your Account after your transaction has been processed for the actual transaction amount.

Make a Donation

Your request to set up a donation will be verified and processed within 24 business hours. If you have provided an email address for this transaction, you will receive a non-confidential email from customer.service@td.com to advise you of the status of your request. Please ensure that you have the correct e-mail on file with the bank.

Funds will be withdrawn and donated 'From' and 'To' on the date you requested. If the date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday the funds will be donated on the next business day.
If you do not have sufficient funds in the 'From' account on the date the donation is to take place, your transaction will not be processed. As a result, subsequent donations will not be processed. You will need to complete the donation setup again if you would like to continue.
Please note that the donation transactions are subject to applicable account plan service charges.

Foreign Currency Order

Your foreign currency order will be verified and processed within 24 business hours.

If you have provided an email address for this transaction, you will receive a non-confidential email from customer.service@td.com when your order has been processed. It will be delivered to the branch 3-5 business days from receipt of the order confirmation. Please ensure that you have the correct e-mail on file with the bank.
