How to certify a cheque

If you are the issuer of the cheque, you can bring it to your TD Canada Trust branch. A representative will be able to certify this cheque (subject to available funds) while you wait (for an account-holder fee of $10).

If you are the holder of a cheque that has been issued to you from a TD Canada Trust account holder, please visit the branch recorded on the cheque. The cheque can be certified (subject to available funds) immediately (for a non-account-holder fee of $15).
