We matched that to: What is a Balance Transfer to a TD Credit Card and how does it work?
A TD Balance Transfer lets you use available credit from your TD Credit Card Account to pay the balance owing (in full or in part) on a non-TD Credit Card such as gas and retail store credit cards. The amount of that balance owing is then transferred to your TD Credit Card Account. The minimum transfer amount is $250. Please allow for 5 to 7 business days for processing. Please note: Unlike purchases, Balance Transfers are treated as Cash Advances and accrue interest from the date of posting. However, Balance Transfers are not subject to Cash Advance transaction fees. Please see your Disclosure Statement mailed to you with your Welcome Package for more details. What is the fee? For TD Personal Credit Card customers (excluding Quebec) and TD Business Credit Card customers, fees only apply to promotional Balance Transfer offers. The fee is based on a percentage of your total Balance Transfer amount. For example, if the fee is 2% and you transfer $3,000.00, your fee will be $60.00. Make sure you have enough available credit to cover the transfer amount and the fee. How long does it take? We update your available credit limit immediately, however, it can take up to 7 business days to completely process your Balance Transfer request. While in progress, the available credit on your TD Credit Card is updated to show the Balance Transfer amount added. The Balance Transfer amount and the fee will appear as two transactions in your card activity. Which non-TD Credit Cards are eligible? Most major credit cards, gas cards, retail and department store cards are eligible for Balance Transfers. Where can I request a Balance Transfer? You can request a Balance Transfer on EasyWeb, the TD app or by calling TD Credit Cards. Other things to keep in mind
NOTE: TD Credit Card must be activated prior to requesting a Cash Advance or, a Balance of Account Transfer. Still not finding the answers you need?
