For example, if you pay your cable bill on EasyWeb on a Thursday before 11:59 p.m. ET (before 8:59 p.m. PT), the funds will be withdrawn from your TD deposit account immediately, dated in your statement with Thursday's date, prepared for processing after the 11:59 p.m. ET cutoff, and delivered to the cable company (or their designate) on Friday.
Or, if you make the same payment on a Friday on or after 11:59 p.m. ET (8:59 p.m PT), the funds will be withdrawn from your TD deposit account immediately, dated in your statement the next business day (Monday), prepared for processing after the Sunday evening 11:59 p.m. cutoff, and delivered to the cable company (or their designate) on Monday.
Please note the following:
If you make a mistake and wish to cancel/change the details of our bill payment, you have the following options:
- If the original payment was made online: cancel the bill payment on EasyWeb up to 11:59 PM ET on the day you made the payment.
- If the payment was made in a branch: branch-initiated payments can only be changed or cancelled at the same branch and on the same day in which the payment was made.
- If the payment was made prior to the day you wish to cancel it: you can visit your local branch, call EasyLine Telephone Banking or contact the bill company directly for assistance
Always follow the specific payment requirements outlined by your billing company on their statement to you.
The business day cutoff time for bill payments and Personal Payee payments posted at the Green Machine ATM is 9:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
Some bill companies direct TD Canada Trust to transmit their payment files to a designated bank and/or payment processor (i.e. a 'designate'), instead of directly to the bill company.
Bill payments made to Visa Accounts at other financial institutions between 11:59 p.m. ET Friday and 11:59 p.m. ET Sunday, or on statutory holidays, are delivered with the next business day's payments, after the next business day's 11:59 p.m. ET cutoff.
Worried about missing a bill payment? You may be able to pay your bills by setting up a Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) with the billing company. With a PAD, payments are automatically deducted from your TD account.
