How does the TD Easy Trade 50 commission-free stock trades work?

As a TD Easy Trade client, you're given 50 commission-free stock trades each year.

TD ETF trades are commission-free all the time and are not counted as part of your 50 commission-free stock trades. For stocks, you'll see $0.00 commission in the trade (buy/sell) preview until you reach your 50 commission-free trades.

On January 1 of each year, we give each TD Easy Trade client 50 commission-free stock trades for that year. There is no carry over of commission-free stock trades from one year to the next year. And you get the 50 commission-free stock trades no matter when in the year you become a client.

The 50 commission-free stock trades are allocated per client, not per account. For example, if you have multiple accounts, the stock trades you make in any of the accounts (Canadian or U.S. currency) will be deducted from your 50 commission-free count per year.
