It's easy to turn on or turn off the Block International Purchases feature on your personal credit card on the TD app.

Blocking International Purchases

  1. Log into the TD app.
  2. Under the slide out menu, select My Accounts.
  3. Select your credit card.
  4. Select Manage.
  5. Select Manage International Purchases.
  6. Select the Block International Purchases switch to turn on the blocking feature.

When you have Block International Purchases turned on, it only blocks in-person purchases made outside of Canada. Certain transactions can still go through such as purchases made in Canada, all online transactions (including international), and all ATM cash advances (including international).

Primary Cardholders can turn on the Block International Purchases feature for their own credit cards, but not for an Authorized User's card. Authorized Users can turn the feature on themselves.

Unblocking International Purchases

  1. Log into the TD app.
  2. Under the slide out menu, select My Accounts.
  3. Select your credit card.
  4. Select Manage.
  5. Select Manage International Purchases.
  6. Select the Block International Purchases switch to turn off the blocking feature.
