How do I set up a recurring deposit or contribution for my TD Direct Investing account?

A Pre-Authorized Deposit (PAD) or Monthly Contribution Plan (MCP) – also known as a recurring deposit or auto-deposit, allows you to make fixed dollar amount deposits or contributions on a recurring basis from a TD Canada Trust bank account or any other Canadian financial institution bank account to your TD Direct Investing account.

Did you know? One way to be exempt from the quarterly maintenance fees is by setting up a recurring deposit or contribution for a minimum of $100/month into any of your TD Direct Investing accounts. 

Follow the steps below to set up recurring deposits or contributions.

From a TD Canada Trust bank account

1. Log into WebBroker.
2. Select Accounts on the top navigation bar. 
3. Under Transfers & Withdrawals, select Transfer cash within TD.
4. Select the From account and the To account.
5. Enter the amount of the recurring deposit or contribution.
6. Toggle the "Make this a recurring transfer".
7. Select the frequency of the deposit or contribution.
8. Click Continue to review the Terms and Conditions.
9. Click Agree and Submit.

From a bank account at another Canadian financial institution

1. Log into WebBroker.
2. Select Accounts on the top navigation bar.
3. Under Transfers & Withdrawals, select Transfer cash in from outside TD.
4. Select the transfer type as "Recurring"
5. Follow the prompts to enter the details including the receiving account, frequency, amount and from account details
6. Upload a void cheque or direct deposit form.
7. Click Continue to review the Terms and Conditions.
8. Click Agree and Submit.

Recurring frequency options:

• Weekly – any weekday
• Bi-weekly – every other week, any weekday
• Semi-monthly – 1st and 15th of every month
• Monthly – any day of the month

To cancel or make changes to the amount or frequency of the deposit or contribution, please log into the TD app and choose Contact Us from the More menu, or contact TD Direct Investing at 1-800-465-5463 to speak to an Investment Representative.
