How do I withdraw from my RESP account in WebBroker?
You can follow these steps to withdraw cash from your Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) account in WebBroker:
- Log in to WebBroker.
- Select Accounts tab on the top left.
- Select Withdrawals from RSPs, RESPs under the Transfers & Withdrawals section.
- Click Select RESP.
- Follow through the guided steps to complete the withdrawal.
Please ensure you have the following prepared before submitting your request:
- Sufficient cash balance in your RESP
- Void cheque if you choose direct deposit to an account at another Canadian financial institution
- For educational withdrawals, valid Proof of Enrolment (POE) documents1 which include:
- Beneficiary name
- Post-secondary school name (logo, letterhead, or website address)
- Semester(s) or school year (Term start date, duration, and year of the program (e.g. Winter 2018-2019))
- Indication that beneficiary is enrolled full or part time.
- Requirement for Full time studies: A minimum of 10 hours of instruction/work per week.
- Requirement for Part time studies: The beneficiary must be at least 16 years of age and a minimum of 12 hours per month.
