How do I withdraw from my TD Direct Investing RSP?
You can withdraw from your TD Direct Investing Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) account in cash or securities in-kind.
Applicable withdrawal fee and withholding tax will apply. Please visit our page for more details.
In Cash Withdrawal:
You can withdraw cash in Canadian Dollars (CAD) or US Dollars (USD).For CAD cash, you can submit your request in any one of the following ways:
- Submit online on WebBroker to deposit withdraw to another TD account

For USD cash:
This will require a non-registered account (e.g. cash, margin) to process your request, please Contact Us to submit your request.
Note: If you wish to deposit your withdrawal to a bank account at other financial institution, please Contact Us and a soft copy of the void cheque will be required to complete your request.
Security In-kind Withdrawal:
You can withdraw securities in-kind from your RSP account to a TD Direct Investing non-registered account. The value of the securities withdrawn is considered as the net withdrawal amount, so you must have sufficient cash available in your RSP for the withholding taxes and fees to be deducted.
In-kind withdrawals cannot be submitted online through WebBroker. To submit your security in-kind withdrawal request, please Contact Us.
Note: Home Buyer's Plan (HBP) or Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) withdrawal is not available online, please visit our plan pages for more details.
