How do I fund my investment goals for my TD Direct Investing accounts?
You can fund an investment goal by assigning one or more of your eligible TD Direct Investing account(s) to a goal. An account's assets can only be applied to one investment goal at a time, but you can remove or re-assign the account at a later point in time.
The account balances are shown in Canadian dollars irrespective of the currency stream of the account assigned. The account values shown are from the previous day's market close, while the U.S. dollar exchange rate used to convert any U.S. dollar balances to Canadian dollars is the previous day's mid-market rate between 3 and 4 p.m. ET.
Ongoing contributions (optional)
You can include any ongoing contributions that you currently have set up for a goal, including any for the TD Direct Investing account(s) you've selected. It's important to update your goal plan amount whenever you make changes to your automatic investment plan(s) and vice versa. You can update the ongoing contribution within your goal plan at any anytime by clicking the Edit Goal button when viewing the details of your investment goal within your dashboard.
